WordCamp Taiwan 2021 is finally coming! Isn’t that exciting? To enjoy this very first virtual WordCamp in Taiwan, we have prepared some information for you.

Gather Town Tutorial
We will hold our WordCamp Taiwan virtually on Gather Town. Please use the same email that you claimed the ticket with to create your Gather Town account in advance, as the virtual venue will be guest-exclusive.
- Click your name at the bottom of the screen and click “Respawn” if you are lost.
- Press “G” on your keyboard to start the ghost mode. You will be able to pass through other attendees when there is a crowd.
- Press “Z” to make your avatar dance. Then, press “Ctrl/Cmd” simultaneously to make it dance constantly.
- If you have any questions, please go to the Service Counter. Volunteers are standing by to help you out! Our volunteers will have a “WCTW 志工 / Volunteer” badge, our speakers will have a “WCTW 講者 / Speaker” badge, and our sponsors will have a “[Sponsor] Sponsor Name” badge.
- You may click the users’ names on the left side to determine whether they are staff or not.
Before / After Party
The Before and After Parties of WordCamp Taiwan 2021 are open to all attendees. So please grab your favorite beverage and join our parties.

- After Party: 12/12 19:30-22:00 (UTC+8)
Venue
What We Will Do
We will play some virtual board games at the Before Party to get familiar with other attendees. We also arrange the chat session for attendees to share their ideas with the sponsors and speakers.
At the After Party, we will invite our attendees to share their thoughts about our event and get to know each other.
Joining Workshops
We will use Zoom to hold workshops. Please install Zoom on your device in advance. After you enter the Gather Town venue, please go to the Couch Potato room and enter the Make Your Potato room. You will find the links to the Zoom meetings.
Please attend as early as possible, as the Zoom links will be deactivated 10 minutes before the end of each workshop.
Online Streaming
If you’re not available to access Gather Town on your device, please check our public broadcast on our YouTube Channel.
In-Person Meetups
WordCamp Taiwan 2021 is a “Hybrid” WordCamp, which means that there will be an virtual “WordCamp” with several physical “Meetups” featuring the watch parties of the WordCamp.
Per the Taiwan government’s guidelines, attendees should wear masks and keep social distance during the event.
