Welcome to your guide for WordCamp Taiwan 2023! Here’s everything you need to know to make your trip as smooth as possible.

Airport

You will be arriving at Taoyuan International Airport (Airport Code: TPE).
There are various transport options to get to Taipei from the airport, such as Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR), buses, Taxi, Taipei Metro (MRT) and Car Rentals. We recommend using In-Town Check-In (ITCI) with Metro Taoyuan.

Useful Tips

Electricity

Taiwan uses 110 volts at 60 cycles. If you’re from Europe, Australia, or South-East Asia, you’ll need an adaptor or transformer. Some buildings have 220-volt sockets for air conditioners.

Weather

Taiwan’s humidity is high, but October offers dry, warm weather. The typhoon season usually ends in September, but keep an eye out for rain!

Instructions for International Travelers

WordCamp is a non-profit event, so we can’t provide a Business Visa. If you’re staying less than 14 days, you might not need a Visitor Visa. Ensure your passport has at least 6 months remaining validity from your entry date to Taiwan. The allowed stay duration is up to 90 days, depending on your nationality.
